SENIOR AI FULL STACK ENGINEER
Rational Exponent is seeking an experienced full stack Software Engineer to help deliver the future of Trustworthy, Reliable AI applications for large, regulated entities.
TECH STACK
Python, LangChain, LlamaIndex, MLflow, Svelte/SvelteKit/TypeScript, MongoDB, Qdrant, FastAPI, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS (EKS, Lambda, S3, Bedrock, etc), Azure Cognitive Services, REST, GraphQL, OpenAI and HuggingFace APIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hands on development and architecture across the full stack
- Working closely with tech lead and architects to implement technical solutions
- Building and maintaining both frontend and backend components of AI applications
- Developing Rational Exponent’s framework for trustworthy agentic AI applications
- Developing specific enterprise applications built on the framework to support client delivery
- Working with production systems, deployment approaches, and build pipelines
- Assistance in monitoring, debugging, and fixing deployed applications
- Collaborating across disciplines to identify gaps and ship products
- Improving delivery velocity and quality of codebase and engineering processes
- Helping to recruit, inspire, and develop team members with a shared vision
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong full stack development experience with both frontend and backend technologies
- Experience with production systems, deployment approaches, build pipelines and infrastructure
- Experience working with cloud solutions, containers, docker, kubernetes, terraform
- Preference to reason about software design from first principles
- Strong programming skills with the ability to work across the full stack
- Experience working in an agile team and delivering every sprint at a rapid cadence
- Strong engineering skills and advocate of best engineering practices
- Seen as a go-to trusted advisor on the team
- Pragmatic and data-driven decision maker
- Proven track record in similar roles
- Self-motivated with a willingness to take ownership of goals and tasks
- A passion for building and delivering quality products for other developers

- 10+ years of industry experience
